Inspiro Training has successful partnerships with companies from all sectors across the UK. We always aim to select partners that add value to our level of service and share both our values and our commitment to providing a fantastic training experience for our learners and employers. Below is a perfect example to illustrate this.

Matthew Benson-Smith is a world-renowned Michelin trained Chef who has excelled within his profession and is recognised as a leading Trainer and Consultant within the hospitality sector. His career highlights include Executive and Senior Chef positions at the 5-star Landmark and Browns Hotels in London, World Curry Festival Host & Demonstrator UK & Malaysia and Chef to the UK Prime Minister.

He comments on his culinary journey, “I have been in the hospitality industry since 1984 and initially travelled to Paris to learn about classical cuisine and how to perfect it. Setting up my own training company has been an incredible adventure. Working with different people and training and mentoring them is really exciting. It is great to share our journey and experience with people.”

Inspiro have been fortunate enough to work with Chef Benson-Smith for four years, during which time we have worked together to support and develop our Chef trainers whilst transforming our programmes. Our decision to partner with the Chef Benson-Smith Academy was an easy one.

Our Chef Trainers completed some hands on practical CPD training at Chef Benson-Smith’s Academy when the Commis Chef standard was launched to support our masterclass delivery, ensuring skills and knowledge if all food groups met the standard and assessment plan.

Our focus has always been on providing high-quality bespoke apprenticeships, as noted by Chef Benson-Smith, “Inspiro’s quality of delivery shines through and it is why we like partnering with them. We are aligned in recognising the importance of being at one with the company we are working with and ensuring that the apprenticeships are bespoke to them.”

Chef Benson-Smith’s involvement has been instrumental in the design of our curriculum and masterclasses.

One of our aims was to develop some virtual online culinary training sessions that learners can access at a time that suites themselves and the employer, as part of their off job training, to support the development of their practical culinary skills and knowledge of each food group.

In partnership, we explored the different food groups and culinary skills that are required to meet the standard and prepare the learners for end point assessment. We looked at specific recipes that would fit into our customers brands too. Chef Benson-Smith adapted his existing recipes to make them relevant to the project. During the filming days, we worked together to develop the material, adapting it along the way. Chef Benson-Smith has observed our determination to constantly improve, “Inspiro is a great company to work with and we have worked together in partnership for many years. It is fantastic to have an impact on what they do. We helped their Trainers to perfect what they do and, in turn, enriched people’s lives.”

Overall, it has been hugely beneficial to work in partnership with Chef Benson-Smith and we are extremely pleased to have harnessed his expertise to improve our standard of training, delivery models and learner experience.
