With the increase in National Insurance (NI) contributions, it’s more important than ever to explore the benefits of hiring apprentices. As an employer, you may not need to pay Class 1 National Insurance contributions for an apprentice if they meet the following criteria:
✅ Under 25 years old
✅ Enrolled in an approved UK government apprenticeship standard or framework
✅ Earning less than £967 per week (£50,270 per year)
Apprenticeships offer a great way to develop fresh talent, build a skilled workforce, and reduce payroll costs—all while shaping the future of your business.
